Man to face court over Bua farmer’s death

A 45-year-old man has been charged in relation with the death of a farmer following an alleged stabbing at Batinivuriwai Settlement, Wainunu, in Bua on Boxing Day.

The victim, George ‘Joji’ Brown, was found near a roadside with a stab wound to the chest.

He was taken to the Wainunu Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said that the accused faces one count of murder and is expected to appear at the Savusavu Magistrate Court today.
