Bright Spirits Present At Children’s Ward
Young Paul is like many other children who may be spending Christmas at the wards they have been admitted in at the hospital. Even if they do, most parents feel the caregivers in the health staff and those employed at the Ronald McDonald Family Home would make it a memorable one for them.

There is a tube that hangs from 16-month-old Paul Nawaqabuli’s nose; he has been admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital since last Thursday.
His mother Semeima Nawaqabuli is optimistic they would be able to return home for Christmas Day.
“My son has had diarrhoea and we have been in the hospital since last week. We are from Namosi and hope to celebrate Christmas at home,” she said.

Ethan Vaurasi is 18 months old.
He was diagnosed with a form of meningitis.
His mother Nicole Vaurasi said her son should be discharged by the end of the week.
“We will be celebrating Christmas at home because Ethan will be discharged sometime soon."
"But my heart goes out for the parents and children who will be spending their Christmas at the hospital,” she said.
“I know they would be well looked after and I hope people keep our children at the wards in their prayers.”
The children’s ward at the CWM Hospital has been spruced up with decorations and even a tree is in the Family Home.
