Teens Charged For Theft Of Masi, Mats
Of the 23 accused persons, three were juveniles and one was a Police officer.

Two boys aged 15 and 17 respectively were charged with one count of aggravated burglary and one count of theft.,
The teenagers allegedly broke into the home of a 60-year-old man and stole masi and mats.
This was part of official data released by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) relating to the number of formal indictments (Information) filed in the High Courts of Fiji by the DPP in the month of January.

The ODPP stated there were 23 people charged with 33 counts of serious offences in January.
The counts for serious crimes were attempted murder (one), robbery (one), aggravated robbery (four), burglary (two), aggravated burglary (eight), theft (10), assault causing actual bodily harm (two), grievous harm (one), act with intent to cause grievous harm (one) and breach of suspended sentences (three).

A police officer, 33, was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to his 31-year-old wife,” the ODPP revealed.
A 15-year-old boy was charged alongside a man, 28, with one count each of aggravated burglary and theft.
They allegedly broke into the home of man, 60, and stole cash and assorted items.
In a separate incident, a 36-year-old man, 36, was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to his 31-year-old wife while in another incident, a man, 26, was charged with causing grievous harm to his wife, 25.
The ODPP said there was one incident where a woman, 47, was charged with an act with intent to cause grievous harm to a man, 47.
The accused person allegedly assaulted the victim with a broom.
