Ra High School (RHS) captain Iliesa Nacele believes they have what it takes to challenge Suva Grammar School (SGS) in the semi-final of the Vodafone Super Deans Under-18 Championship this Saturday.

RHS booked their place in the semi-final after scoring a major upset in defeating defending champions Ratu Kadavulevu School (12-10) in their quarterfinal at Garvey Park, Tavua, last Saturday.

The livewire hooker, said the team would need to improve their game after making several mistakes in the quarterfinal.

“We made a lot of mistakes,” he said.

“We know they (RKS) are champions and we had to dig deep.”

Nacele said the victory over RKS was also motivated by their previous loss to them in rugby league.

“We were here to upset them as our revenge for losing to them in the rugby league. We did it.”

Nacele said they are aware that the job is yet to be finished.

“There is another high-tempo game next Saturday. We will go back and rectify our mistakes and be a better side next weekend.”
