Ba crowned 2026 Extra Premier League champions

Ba FC have ended a seven-year wait for the Extra Premier League title after thrashing Tailevu Naitasiri FC 6-0 to be crowned the 2026 champions.

Dayal’s Sawmillers Ba FC reclaimed the national league crown in emphatic fashion today, thrashing Tailevu Naitasiri FC 6-0 at 4R Stadium, Govind Park, Ba.
The victory secured the Men in Black a record 22nd national league title and their first since 2019.
Ba entered the Round 17 clash knowing victory would put the championship beyond the reach of their nearest challengers.
They delivered when it mattered.
After being held out for much of the first half, John Orobulu finally broke Tailevu Naitasiri’s resistance in the 37th minute to give Ba a 1-0 halftime lead.
Then the floodgates opened.
Ba struck five more times after the break, with Orobulu completing a hat-trick.
Praneel Dayal, Vilitati Kautoga and Shazil Ali also found the net as the Men in Black turned their title-clinching match into a six-goal celebration in front of their home supporters.
The victory lifted Ba to 39 points and secured the championship with a match still to play against defending champions Rewa FC.
The title completes a domestic double for Ba after they won the 2026 BiC Fiji FACT earlier this year.
