Customers paying their Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) bills through the MyCash app will now see their payments reflected in less than a minute following an enhanced integration between Digicel Fiji and WAF.

The upgrade addresses a longstanding inconvenience where customers could make payments through MyCash but often had to wait until the next day before the transaction appeared in WAF's system.

The improved service means customers no longer need to spend time checking whether a payment has been received or contacting WAF to verify their account status.

Previously, transactions made through MyCash could take until the following day to be reflected in WAF's records, creating delays for customers seeking immediate confirmation.

Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Farid Mohammed said the enhancement was designed to provide customers with faster and more reliable confirmation of their payments.

"At Digicel Fiji, we are constantly looking for ways to make everyday life easier for our customers through digital innovation. Water is an essential service, and customers need confidence that when they make a payment, it is reflected without delay. Through our enhanced integration with the Water Authority of Fiji, MyCash users can now enjoy nearly instant payment updates, removing unnecessary waiting times and giving customers quick confirmation and peace of mind."

The new system allows customers to continue making payments through the MyCash app as usual, with payment information now updating almost instantly.

The enhancement is expected to improve customer convenience and reduce the need for payment-related enquiries.
