Nasinu Secondary School (NSS) will face Lelean Memorial School (LMS) in the Vodafone Deans Under-18 semi-final.
Nasinu secured their spot after edging Cuvu College 28-24 in a pulsating quarter-final at Garvey Park, Tavua, last Saturday.
NSS captain Maika Jitoko Tuivaga who hails from Yaroi, Makutu in Lau said they are determined to go on and win the Deans Trophy.
“This is my second year in the Under-18 grade,” the tough blindside flanker told SUNsports after the match.
“We played in the final last year, but we fell short, so this time around we are moving on.”
Tuivaga said they made too many mistakes against Cuvu College, which allowed them back into the game.
“That was our downfall and we need to fix it,” he said.
“We have to trust the process and play the entire 80 minutes.”
Nasinu banked on prop Iosefo Fonorito along with centres Onorio Kakikaji and Tomasi Daulali to do the damage.
Fonrito, earlier this year, won the gold medal in the senior boy’s shotput of the Fiji Finals
