Construction of $220Million Hotel to Commence in July

Hari Punja & Sons Limited, the parent company of FMF Foods Limited has embarked on a $220 million hotel project in Wailoaloa, Nadi.
The 258 room, five-star luxury hotel open for business by June 2026.
Chairman Hari Punja said construction of the hotel was expected to commence in July this year.
Mr Punja said the new five-star luxury hotel would help solve the issue of Fiji’s hotel room shortage.
“Fiji has a shortage of about 5000 rooms and this project will go a long way to solve some of the shortages,” Mr Punja said.
“Because of the shortages, there has been a phenomenal rise in the cost of rooms in Fiji.”
Mr Punja said the hotel project marked a major investment from Hari Punja & Sons Limited.
The new hotel would be managed by Rydges Australia, which is one of the most recognised brands in Australia and New Zealand with 60 hotels in operation.
