'Let's Go Local': Sheron Wants to Swim with Bull Sharks

Sheron Kumar is a familiar face not only in any local Tanoa Group of Hotels property, but also at Tanoa International Dateline Hotel in Tonga.
The 31-years-old grew up in Carreras Road, a small settlement in Votualevu, Nadi.
Tanoa International Dateline Hotel offers some of the best Tongan accommodation for all kinds of travellers from including conference attendees, wedding guests, business people, and holiday-makers.

When he is in Fiji, he lives with his parents and three sisters.
“I started my career from the bottom and grown with the Tanoa Group,” Mr Kumar said.
“Getting into the leadership roles was blessing.
“In 2019 took a very bold step to move away from family to pursue my career in Tonga under Tanoa Hotels Group.”
Mr Kumar started off from an attaché chef at Tanoa International in Nadi from February, 2010, to moving to different roles upon experience from trainee Purchasing/stock controller, and from Front Office attendant to Front Office supervisor.
He joined the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji in November, 2015 as guest relation officer, he then moved to Finance Assistant in October, 2016.
In May, 2017, he moved back to Tanoa International as Front Office manager later making the bold move as Operations manager at Tanoa Dateline Tonga from January, 2019 till date.
Mr Kumar shared some insight with SunBiz into his favourite foods, to places to eat and top travel destinations in Fiji.
How many places have you visited around Fiji?
I have visited the Garden of Sleeping Giant, Fiji Museum, hot spring and mud pool, Momi Bay Gun site, Big Bula Waterpark and Zip line.
