Millers Wharf robbery suspect released as probe continues

The man arrested over the alleged Millers Wharf robbery has been cautioned and released while police hunt other suspects.

The suspect arrested for the alleged aggravated robbery at Millers Wharf in Walu Bay has been released.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed today that the man was cautioned interviewed and released as investigations continue.

The suspect was taken into custody, following the alleged robbery that occurred in the early hours of Monday, December 29.

Seven men allegedly climbed over a fence at Sealand Processes Fiji Limited, threatened security guard Paula Vale with a cane knife, and stole a safe before fleeing in a fibreglass boat.

Mr Vale was allegedly handcuffed and forced to kneel while his two young sons, aged 12 and 10, slept nearby.

Police continue to search for the other alleged accomplices involved in the incident.
