Kiribati national team will face Seaqaqa in the premier divisional final at the FMF inter district championship.

The Kiribati football side is hoping to make history in tomorrow’s FMF Inter-Distric Championship premier divisio final.

They beat the Fiji under 17 side 3 - 1 at the second semi - final at Buckhurst Park, Suva.

Speaking to SUNsports, technical director Bernard Tatireta said they were excited for booking its first IDC final.

"It's a really fantastic game today and I would like to congratulate the boys for their outstanding performance against the Fiji under 17 side," Tatireta said.

"The boys was really committed to game, and we managed to get the win."

He added this is their first appearance at the IDC tournament in Fiji.

"Competing alongside some of Fiji's local teams is such an experience for us," he said.

"We will grasp every skill and exposure of how football is played here in Fiji." 

Tatireta added they are looking forward to their final game against Seaqaqa tomorrow.

"We will try to maintain this winning momentum and to win the premiers," he said.

He also acknowledged their fans and supporters for their tireless support.
