Former Doctor Jailed For Manslaughter Files An Appeal
Ketenilagi is convicted of one count of manslaughter.

A former doctor, who has been jailed for six years for recklessly assaulting a taxi driver resulting in his death, has filed an appeal.
Marvin Ray Ketenilagi, 42, was jailed by the High Court in Suva to six years imprisonment with a non-parole period of four years for the reckless killing of Shri Chand, 56, in 2018.
Ketenilagi is convicted of one count of manslaughter.
Related stories
On January 25, 2018, in Suva, Ketenilagi assaulted Shri Chand, which later was found to have resulted in Chand’s death.
At the time of the assault, Ketenilagi was reckless and under the influence of alcohol.
The deceased was 64-years-old at the time of the offence.
Ketenilagi filed leave to appeal against his conviction and sentence.
Appeal Court Judge, Justice Chandana Prematilaka, has issued an order to check on appeal records. The matter will be called for mention on December 2.
