Free will offering from members is likely to replace the annual church levy collection as Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma ministers discuss its slow phase out of this age-old tradition within the church.
The newl-elected church president, Reverend Dr Semisi Turagavou, said this would be on top of discussions during this year’s annual conference at Furnival Park, Toorak, Suva.
“The phasing out of the church levy is in the pipeline,” Reverend Turagavou, who was elected as new president yesterday, said.
