Police collecting statements in Vakarisi death investigation

Police investigators are continuing to collect statements as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Jone Vakarisi.

In a statement, the Fiji Police Force said Criminal Investigations Department officers are leading the inquiry, with assistance from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) in sourcing necessary information and statements related to the case.

Police acknowledged the cooperation of RFMF Commander Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai and his support for the investigation.

Authorities said an update on the progress of the case will be provided in due course.
