An elderly woman is alleged to have collapsed and died on Saturday while being questioned by Police at the Ba Police Station.
Dead is Ram Kumari, 81, of Rarawai in Ba.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the incident happened inside the Ba Police Station.

Claims
She claimed that the matter was reported to Police.
“They took her from home on Saturday at midday to the station. There was no female officer present to take her.
“When she collapsed in the station, police did not take her straight away, despite our relatives being there to take her in their vehicle, but police waited for their police vehicle,” she claimed.
Ms Naisoro said, “The victim was brought in for an alleged case of assault, criminal intimidation, and breach of DVRO. She was rushed to Ba Aspen Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
“Investigations continue, and a post-mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.”
