Rising featherweight boxer Mikaele Ravalaca is eager to take on 57kg featherweight title holder Junior Binnu Singh next.

This is after he knocked out Saimoni Ratu in the first round of their Bluewater Promotion super featherweight bout last week in two minutes and 28 seconds.

“I want a title fight and I am coming for him (Singh),” Ravalaca said.

“I think that I deserve a fight with him, and I want him to accept my challenge.”

Ravalaca said he was looking for a challenge to progress in his professional boxing career.

“It was just a short sparing session with Ratu as it is what it is and I like to do my talking in the ring,” he said.

“I never underestimate my opponents as I always come prepared. I capitalisedf on his (Ratu) mistakes, and I was able to get a knockout.”

Ravalaca acknowledged his major sponsor Fresh’et International Limited.

“I dedicate this win to my sponsor, family and friends for their support throughout my preparation,” he said.

“It was not a difficult fight as I had deserved a knockout.”

Ravalaca said he will need to work hard in future fights.

“I need to work on bobbing and weaving, combinations and better footwork,” he said.
