Lelean Memorial School (LMS) and Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) booked their places in the Vodafone Deans Trophy Under-18 quarterfinals after convincing wins in their respective elimination matches at St Vincent College ground in Natovi, last Saturday.
LMS kept alive their hopes of ending a 12-year wait after defeating Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) 26-7 in a hard-fought clash while RKS proved too strong for Ratu Sukuna Memorial School (RSMS) 43-14.
Defending Deans Trophy champions RKS is slowly finding their mojo.

Assistant coach Jone Ketedromo said they are picking up from where they had left off last year and hopes that they could maintain it, right to their last game.
“We’ll go back to the drawing board and prepare for the quarterfinal,” he said.
“The new format sees that all the teams have fully prepared for the competition especially at this stage.
“We thank Ratu Sukuna Memorial School for giving us a good game.”
The U18 competition now sees 2023 Deans Trophy winners MBHS and RSMS being bundled out of the competition with Queen Victoria School.
LMS needs to work on their discipline after they copped three yellow cards and were constantly penalised for off-side MBHS had a bad day as they failed to utilise their try scoring chances through poor handling and poor decision makings.
