Nadi works on ending losing run

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday Nadi Rugby Union vice-president Jeff Tamata said preparations have been going on as normal.

The Nadi rugby team must beat visitors Tailevu in tomorrow’s Skipper Cup clash if they are to move out of the relegation zone.

The Jet Setters are in a tough spot after losing to Naitasiri, Vatukoula, Ba and Malolo. However, they have three matches remaining against Lautoka, Nadroga and Suva.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday Nadi Rugby Union vice-president Jeff Tamata said preparations have been going on as normal.

“We are focusing on our walk-ons and addressing areas we missed in the last match,” he said.

“Tailevu is a very good team and they are doing well. The remaining games are vital as the boys push to secure their place at the top.”

Tamata said the team management is working tirelessly alongside the players to tighten up key areas and improve overall performance.

“With focused training sessions and strategic planning, Nadi is poised to deliver a strong performance this weekend.”

The Under-20 match gets underway at 1pm followed by the senior men’s at 3pm.
