TikToker Ana Masere granted time to prepare plea

Masere represents herself as High Court extends bail and sets January 30 hearing.

TikToker Ana Masere was granted time to prepare for her plea at the High Court in Lautoka today.

She appeared before Justice Sunil Sharma and represented herself.

Ms Masere has been charged with two counts of causing harm by posting electronic communication, two counts of insulting or annoying any person, and one count of breaching bail conditions.

Masere was charged for allegedly posting a video on her TikTok and making derogatory comments about another woman.

It was alleged that the victim had attempted to commit suicide as a result of Masere's action.

State prosecutor Laisiasa Baleilevuka sought 21 days to file information.

Ms Masere told the court she was ready to take her plea.

Justice Sharma granted 14 days for plea preparation and extended her bail.

The case has been adjourned to January 30, 2026.
