Women Charged With Robbery Gets Sentence Date

Three women charged with aggravated robbery will be sentenced on May 18. The women failed to appear on time for their hearing.
However, Fiji Sun photographed them later at the holding cell vicinity at courthouse in Suva yesterday.
Vaseva Saumaki, 19, Elenoa Rokotinai, 20, and Taraivini Senirewa, 24, are facing one count of robbery each.

The three women had pleaded guilty to the offence and were convicted accordingly.
Saumaki, Rokotinai and Senirewa on January 17, 2019, at Nabua, stole an Alcatel mobile phone valued at $50, FNPF card, E-ticketing card and cash amounting to $150, all to a total value of $200 and used force on the complainant before stealing from him.
The women have been further remanded in custody pending sentencing.
