A man, who allegedly burned his neighbour’s house at Batinikama in Labasa last Thursday, is still admitted at the Labasa Hospital.

This was confirmed by the Divisional Police Commander (DPC) Northern Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Eparama Waqa yesterday.

“The man who set fire is the house owner’s brother-in-law,” SSP Waqa said.

“He tried to commit suicide after the alleged fire incident and Police had to take him to Labasa Hospital. We are waiting for the doctor to provide us with the clearance so that we can take him to the station for questioning,” he said.

Police investigations continue.
