Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica has resigned from Cabinet and his ministerial position.
Mr Kamikamica informed Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka of his decision to step down and is expected to return to Fiji tomorrow.
His final day serving as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister will be tomorrow, October 22.

“Today, I received a communication from Hon. Manoa Kamikamica informing me of his decision to step down from Cabinet and from his position as Deputy Prime Minister,” Mr Rabuka said in a statement.
Mr Rabuka confirmed that Mr Kamikamica will remain in Parliament and acknowledged his continued commitment to the Government and the people of Fiji.
“I will be overseeing his portfolio responsibilities for the foreseeable future,” Mr Rabuka added.
The resignation comes amid ongoing investigations, with Mr Kamikamica assuring the Prime Minister of his support for the administration despite stepping away from his Cabinet duties.
