Driver Involved in Tabia Accident Yet to be Questioned

The victim was allegedly bumped by the driver while reversing his vehicle outside the temple compound, located opposite the school gate.

Police have not interviewed the driver who allegedly bumped a student of Tabia in Labasa last Thursday.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro, said the victim remained admitted at the Labasa Divisional Hospital.

Following the accident, the Year 12 student of Tabia Sanatan College has not attended school.

Ms Naisoro said the case is under investigation.

It was reported by Police that around 7.30 on the said morning, the victim and her brother left their home at Movo for school.

The victim was allegedly bumped by the driver while reversing his vehicle outside the temple compound, located opposite the school gate.

Divisional Police Commander Northern, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kemueli Baledrokadroka, said the victim was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

“The driver will be questioned once all medical reports are gathered,” SSP Baledrokadroka said.
