Solomon Islands Prime Minister Matthew Wale says his government is looking to strengthen cooperation among Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) members as leaders work to address shared sub-regional and regional priorities.
Speaking during a traditional welcome ceremony hosted by the Government at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva this morning, PM Wale acknowledged Fiji's respect for Pacific customs and values.
He thanked Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, the Government and the people of Fiji for the warm reception accorded to him and his delegation.

The honours included a military Guard of Honour at Nausori Airport upon his arrival last night and a traditional welcome ceremony this morning.
PM Wale is in Fiji for his first official visit to participate in the Troika Meeting at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.
Mr Rabuka welcomed his Solomon Islands counterpart and reaffirmed the longstanding relationship between the two Melanesian nations, describing it as one built on shared heritage, mutual respect and regional solidarity.
The welcome ceremony was attended by Cabinet ministers, Members of Parliament, members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials and invited guests.
