In a major step towards modernizing public infrastructure and service delivery, the Minister for Public Works, Meteorological Services, and Transport today launched the Ministry’s new website and unveiled the 2025–2026 Coastal Operational Plan (COP). The initiatives aim to enhance transparency, operational efficiency, and public engagement.

Speaking during the launch of the event on Thursday, the Minister emphasized that the Coastal Operational Plan is a strategic framework to guide the Ministry’s financial, infrastructural, and environmental efforts over the next two years.

“This plan is a critical tool designed to ensure financial sustainability and efficiency in service delivery. It will help us optimize resources, enhance budgeting discipline, and deliver impactful, ground-level results,” the Minister said.

The new Ministry logo was also revealed, symbolizing unity, coordination, and multi-sectoral governance. Each quadrant of the logo reflects key sectors—public safety, environmental awareness, infrastructure development, and specialized forecasting—interconnected under a centralized mission.

Highlighting the digital transformation, the Minister introduced the upgraded Ministry website, designed to serve as a central public information hub. The platform will offer real-time updates on infrastructure projects, transport services, and franchise operations. “This user-friendly website aligns with our commitment to transparency and better stakeholder engagement,” he added.

The Minister thanked the leadership team, technical staff, and stakeholders for their contribution, noting that the collaborative effort marks a significant step forward in achieving national development goals.

“As we launch these initiatives, we recommit ourselves to delivering efficient, modern services that uplift our people and strengthen the nation,” the Minister concluded.

The Ministry called on the public to explore the new platform and contribute feedback, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable progress.
