Nadi teen shines on global stage at Miss Teen India Worldwide

In a moment of national pride, 16-year-old Krishika Prasad of Nadi has made history by becoming the first Fijian to win an international crown at the prestigious Miss Teen India World pageant.
The Year 12 student of Swami Vivekananda College clinched the main title at the event’s grand finale, held at The Lalit in Mumbai on August 29.
Prasad’s journey to the international stage began in May, when she was crowned the national winner in Fiji, earning the right to represent the nation on a global platform.

Now in its 32nd year, the international pageant is renowned for showcasing culture and diversity, bringing together young women of Indian heritage from across the globe.
Her victory marks a milestone for Fiji in the pageant’s three-decade history.
Former titleholder and National Director for Miss/Mrs/Teen India Fiji, Shaeen Khan, expressed her delight at Prasad’s groundbreaking achievement.
“We are all incredibly proud of Krishika. She worked really hard to achieve her goals, and this historic win is a testament to her perseverance and spirit,” Khan said.
“This is the first time Fiji has won an international crown at this event, and Krishika has truly put our nation on the map.”
Beyond her pageant success, Prasad is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment.
She aspires to begin her career as a paralegal before continuing her studies in law, with the goal of becoming a voice for the vulnerable.
The event in Mumbai was a vibrant celebration of Indian culture and heritage, providing a stage for talented young women to showcase their poise, intellect and pride in their roots.
Krishika Prasad’s triumph is not just a personal accomplishment but an inspiration for young Fijians everywhere, proving that with hard work and determination, global dreams are within reach, Khan added.
