Raiwaqa Home Owner Grateful To Be Alive

Inia Komai thanked God that his family was safe despite losing everything he owned in a house fire yesterday.
The family of five were living at their congregated-iron home in an informal settlement along Gaji Road in Raiwaqa.
The 59-year-old was at his farm in Vatuwaqa when he was informed by a church member of the news.

He said his wife and children were at a neighbour’s house when the fire started and called the National Fire Authority for their assistance.
He also pleaded to the members of the public and the Government for assistance to help him and his family.
The National Fire Authority trucks were at the scene to douse the fire.
