Comfort for healthcare workers and patients at the Vatukarasa Health Centre in Nadroga/Navosa has improved following the installation of two air conditioning units donated by Tambua Sands Beach Resort.

The donation reinforces Warwick Hotels and Resorts’ commitment to supporting local communities and essential services.

The donation was welcomed by head doctor Dr Joel Saloma, health centre staff and members of surrounding communities, who expressed gratitude for the support shown towards the medical facility.

Resort manager Angela Bob said the resort was pleased to assist healthcare workers who continue to serve communities with dedication every day.

“We are delighted to support the doctors and nurses at Vatukarasa Health Centre. They play a very important role in caring for our people, and their comfort and wellbeing are something we should all value,” Ms Bob said.

“We hope these air conditioning units will help create a more comfortable environment for both staff and patients.”

She said Warwick Hotels and Resorts believed in supporting communities and giving back through meaningful initiatives that made a positive difference.

Warwick Hotels and Resorts Senior Vice-President and Executive Director – Pacific Tammie Tam said community support remained central to the group’s values.

“At Warwick Hotels and Resorts, community support is part of who we are. We believe strong communities create a stronger future for everyone,” Ms Tam said.

“Supporting healthcare facilities, schools and community projects is one way we can give back and show appreciation to the people and communities that continue to support us.”

Ms Tam said Warwick Hotels and Resorts remained committed to corporate social responsibility and would continue seeking opportunities to assist communities throughout the region.

The initiative reflects Warwick Hotels and Resorts’ ongoing dedication to community wellbeing, partnerships and sustainable support for local organisations and essential services.
