Damaging heavy swells of up to four metres continue to affect parts of Fiji, prompting warnings for coastal communities, mariners and fishers to remain vigilant.
The Fiji Meteorological Service said the heavy swells were affecting the southwest of Viti Levu, the Lau Waters, Koro Sea and the Kadavu Passage, creating hazardous sea conditions.
The service warned that the swells could generate strong currents and large breaking waves along exposed coastlines, posing risks even when weather conditions appear fair.
