The Alesi Nailolo captained- Ra High School Raluve side has been training hard for today’s final.

They take on Sigatoka Methodist High School in the Weet-Bix Raluve Trophy Championship final of the Western Secondary Schools Under-16 final at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.

The side scored three tries to one in their 17-5 win over Jasper Williams High School.

Ra High School manager Vani Mule said, the team is looking forward to their Western Zone final on their debut season. .

“It was a good win, the defence is the main thing and we need to work on it,” Mule said.

“Most of my girls in the Under-16 squad were part of the team when we started our rugby training. We opted not to send them to the Coke Games as we focused only on rugby.”

The side banks on Nailolo who plays at centre, winger Vilisi Rawaqa, halfback Sereima Naisalo and number eight Varisila Yawataki.

“There has been a lot of support from parents and old scholars. They were always there whenever we needed them, especially when we lacked funds.

“They forked out extra money for our meals and other stuff, especially when we are in this campaign,” Mule said.

In the Raluve Trophy U18 final, the versatile Natabua High School takes on Jasper Williams High School in an explosive encounter.
