Representing Vanuatu at the recent the recent Commonwealth Games has been a good experience for Suva Grammar School sprinter Chloe David.

The Commonwealth Games was held in Birmingham, England and yesterday she won the intermediate girls 100metres final with a time of 12.8s.

David told SUNsports, that her next aim is to represent her country at next year’s Pacific Games in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

“I have been exposed to the athletic field and top athletes,” she said.

“That has helped me a lot in learning to control myself while running and being here at the Cokes has really helped me a lot.”

David said she is grateful to her family, friends and the Suva Grammar School family who have been very supportive.

“The sacrifices that my parents made has pushed me to do my best. I want to prove to them that all their hard work has not gone to waste.”

David and her sister Claudie are being coached by Bola Tafo’ou supported by Grammar coach Jone Delai. Claudie also won the gold medal for Grammar in the junior girls 100m with a time of 12.70s.
