Suva Marathon date confirmed

The Suva Marathon Club (SMC) has officially launched the 2026 Rexona Suva Marathon in Walu Bay, Suva, yesterday.

The Rexona Suva Marathon will be on August 8. The event is supported by Rexona as the title sponsor, Munro Leys and Wow’s Kids, which is the charity partner.

Speaking during the launch, SMC president Armit Ahalawat said the annual event aims to encourage healthier lifestyles while promoting long-distance running in Fiji.

“The event marks a significant milestone in the Suva Marathon Club’s journey, which began in 2014 with a simple but powerful vision to promote long-distance running in Fiji, encourage healthier lifestyles and support the community through our events,” Ahalawat said.

He said organisers were targeting corporate teams and young adults to encourage regular exercise. “We want to motivate people to make exercise part of their daily routine. We are aiming for 1,000 participants this year. There is no limit on registrations, so we encourage everyone to take part.”
