“I know they’ve done a lot already with the free ball giveaway with Rebel Sports, and to have them as our supplier of hit shields, tackle suits, tackle machines and a bit of everything — it’s great to have them onboard.”

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua announced a new partnership with Silver Fern, who will serve as the franchise club’s official supplier of training equipment ahead of the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

As part of the partnership, Silver Fern has provided the Drua with an extensive range of elite-level training gear, significantly boosting the club’s preparation resources as the squad builds towards a highly anticipated 2026 campaign.

Drua head coach Glen Jackson welcomed the partnership and the positive impact it will have on the team.

“We feel very lucky and privileged to associate with Silver Fern,” he said.

“I know they’ve done a lot already with the free ball giveaway with Rebel Sports, and to have them as our supplier of hit shields, tackle suits, tackle machines and a bit of everything — it’s great to have them onboard.”

Sharing his excitement on the partnership, Silver Fern managing director Kent Rae said: “We are super excited to announce that Silver Fern Sport has signed on as equipment sponsor for the Fijian Drua for the next five years. We are looking forward to the coaches and players using the most innovative rugby brand in the world.”

“After meeting with Glen and some of the team at Drua HQ, while giving balls away with Rebel Sport as part of the ‘Pass it Forward’ programme, we got a real sense that the innovation required to compete in one of the world’s toughest club competitions from the pacific islands was the perfect match for Silver Fern. We look forward to the players testing our equipment and the feedback that will come from working with a high-performance environment.”

The partnership builds upon recent collaboration between the two organisations, including Silver Fern’s support in giving away more than 20 free rugby balls to young players at the local rugby competition between the Nadi Rugby Union and Ba Rugby Union— a gesture that reflects the brand’s commitment to growing the game at grassroots level.
