A new online travel platform, MaharajTravel.com, aims to make it simpler — and in some cases more affordable — for American travellers to book flights and holiday packages to Fiji and the South Pacific.

The platform was officially launched last week at Suva’s Merchant Club.

The launch was led by Ranji Raju, IT and media consultant for Maharaj Travel and director of Raju Media, who said the website blends decades of travel industry experience with modern technology to deliver a seamless and flexible booking experience.

“MaharajTravel.com is designed for US travellers who want to visit Fiji and the South Pacific,” Mr Raju said. “We offer clear pricing, multiple airline options, and customer support from experienced travel professionals.”

The platform was founded by Avin Maraj, a California-based travel industry veteran with more than 40 years of experience.

Mr Raju said the website allows travellers to book independently while still having access to real travel agents for guidance.

“Fiji remains a top destination for the platform,” he added. “Fiji Airways flies to five US destinations and one in Canada, making travel more convenient. Our platform offers very competitive fares, sometimes lower than other booking websites.”

Mr Raju stressed that MaharajTravel.com is not competing directly with local travel agencies, but instead provides an additional and convenient option for travellers.

“Everyone shops around for the best price,” he said. “Our goal is to make booking simple, transparent and attractive.”

The Suva launch marks the first phase of MaharajTravel.com’s international rollout, with further launches planned in the United States to attract more Americans to explore Fiji and the wider South Pacific.
