Club Wyndham Denarau Island has unveiled Land’s End Bar & Grill, a new oceanfront dining destination at the tip of Denarau Island in Nadi.

Formerly known as The Beach Shack, the waterfront restaurant offers guests views of the “Green Flash” — a rare natural phenomenon seen briefly as the sun disappears below the horizon.

The Green Flash occurs when the atmosphere refracts sunlight like a prism, creating a bright emerald rim at the edge of the setting sun.

According to folklore, those lucky enough to witness it will “never again go wrong in matters of the heart”.

“Land’s End Bar & Grill captures the magic of Fiji in one unforgettable moment,” Club Wyndham Denarau Island general manager Craig Simpson said.

“It offers great food, warm Fijian hospitality and one of the most spectacular sunsets in the South Pacific.”

The restaurant incorporates the theme through green-hued cocktails and subtle green lighting along its beachfront setting. A themed pirate ship has also been installed for photo opportunities.

With uninterrupted ocean views across the Mamanuca Islands, Land’s End is expected to become a popular sunset venue for guests and locals.

“It’s now the perfect place to share the excitement of spotting the legendary Green Flash with your loved ones,” Mr Simpson said.

Pacific Rim flavours

Land’s End offers a modern island grill menu featuring seafood, premium meat cuts and locally inspired dishes.

The à la carte menu combines Pacific Rim flavours with traditional Fijian influences, including a Fijian lovo night and a weekly roast buffet.

Menu highlights include Kokoda Vuda, island-style grilled octopus, Yasawa Island lobster and Greenham beef rump with local spices.

Desserts include baked ripe banana with toasted coconut and golden crumble, traditional Fijian cassava cake and lemon crème brûlée.

Guests can pair meals with tropical cocktails, international wines and rum-based drinks from the resort’s beverage menu.

Happy Hour is held daily from 5pm to 6pm on the waterfront deck, while live music performances are scheduled every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.

Land’s End is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, welcoming resort guests, locals and visitors.
