Suva Bowling Club’s story goes back in 1925, where it was first established behind the former Suva City Library, now known as the Carnegie Library.
It was a humble start for the business but it didn’t take long for the Suva Bowling Club to outgrow that sport and move to current’s spot by the Suva Harbour.
Suva Bowling Club moved to its current location in 1970, providing one of the best views for customers and those visiting the place.
Since then, this fun filled Suva Bowling Club has hosted several functions, sporting events and major sponsored bowling competitions such as the Banana Cup which has been played since 1954.
Suva Bowling Club has active Clubs with five playing greens located in Suva, Rewa, Tamavua, Sheraton, Ba, Nadi and Lautoka.
Back in the day, the club was a bit more exclusive, but thankfully with the change in time, Suva Bowling Club has proudly become a community club, open to all, with around 400 members and counting.
From a tight little private club, we’ve grown into a welcoming hub for bowlers, sippers, thinkers, and people who just like to hang out near the sea.
Suva Bowling Club is easily accessible by all forms of public transport, whether by the Nasese bus or taxi.
It is located adjacent from the Albert Park and beside the Grand Pacific Hotel.
For those interested in bowling but visiting the West, the Nadi Sports and Social Club and the Lautoka Bowling Club are easily accessible.
