Children at the Loloma Home & Care Centre in Nadi now have a revitalised outdoor playground, thanks to a $14,000 project funded by Club Wyndham Denarau Island.
The centre, a sanctuary for vulnerable young mothers and their children ranging from babies to teenagers, received the upgrade after its ageing playground fell into disrepair and became unusable.
With financial support from Club Wyndham, the area has been transformed through repairs to the existing jungle gym, fresh paint, levelled grounds, a new sandpit, and the addition of swings, a seesaw, and other play equipment.

Club Wyndham Denarau Island general manager Craig Simpson said every child deserved a safe place to play.
“Every child deserves a place to play safely. We are proud to contribute to a community that has always welcomed us so warmly. It is an extraordinary sight to see those swings in motion,” Mr Simpson said.
The project was funded entirely through the resort’s weekly charity auction, held during Owner Meet and Greets every Wednesday.
Mr Simpson said the charity auction had quietly transformed the surrounding community, with contributions from owners and staff helping to fund local initiatives such as the playground revitalisation at the centre.
Beyond these projects, the resort maintains an ongoing relationship with the centre through regular visits, Christmas gifts, meals and year-round donations.
