Father and son further remanded over alleged Kulukulu murder

No plea taken as case transferred to Lautoka High Court

Two men charged with the alleged murder of 38-year-old Vimal Nand in Kulukulu, Nadroga, over the weekend have been further remanded in custody.

Father and son Ratu Kinijoji Ratuva, 19, and Ratu Vula Ratuva, 51, are jointly charged with one count each of murder and assault.

Ratu Kinijoji also faces an additional count of assault.

The two appeared at the Sigatoka Magistrate Court today, where no plea was taken.

The matter has been transferred to the High Court in Lautoka, with a formal bail application scheduled for August 27.

Mr Nand, of Kulukulu, Sigatoka, died following an alleged assault over the weekend.
