Two Chinese nationals facing drug-related charges have been granted bail by the High Court in Lautoka.

Wang An and Xu Qiang are each charged with three counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine on separate occasions.

The duo appeared before Justice Sekonaia Vodokisolomone yesterday.

Wang and Xu are alleged to have been in unlawful possession of 302.908 grams of methamphetamine in Votualevu, Nadi, on September 23, 2025.

Xu is further alleged to have been in unlawful possession of 6.908 grams of methamphetamine at Martintar, Nadi.

Wang is also alleged to have been in unlawful possession of 495.841 grams of methamphetamine at Vuda, Veiseisei.

Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, John Rabuku, told the court the State prosecution did not object to bail, provided conditions were imposed.

These include a stop-departure order at all international wharves and airports, a curfew from 6pm to 5am, surrender of passports, non-interference with witnesses, no reoffending while on bail, and reporting to Namaka Police Station every Monday between 6am and 6pm.

Mr Rabuku said the State would file its information.

Justice Vodokisolomone adjourned the case to January 28, 2026.
