Two charged over alleged Facebook investment scam
Police said the victim responded to a Facebook advertisement promising a return of $250 after investing $50.

Two people have been charged after allegedly receiving money linked to a Facebook investment scam that promised victims quick returns for a small investment.
The Fiji Police Anti-Scam Task Force said the pair, aged 50 and 48, allegedly received money connected to an online investment scam operated through a Facebook account known as "Digital Lifestyle" on November 20, 2025.
Police said the victim responded to a Facebook advertisement promising a return of $250 after investing $50.

The victim initially transferred $50 before making a second payment of $200, which Police allege was used by the accused.
The two have each been charged with one count of Obtaining Financial Advantage.
They are expected to appear in the Suva Magistrate Court today.
