More than 50 dogs participated in the Tim Howick-Smith 1000 Paws Walk at the Civic Centre foreshore yesterday.
The day was organised to celebrate the life of the late Howick-Smith whose passion for ending cruelty to animals and his love for dogs translated to an enduring support for the work carried out by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). He was called to rest earlier this year.

“We sat down with his partner Ulamila who shares a little of who and what Tim was all about.”
There were different breeds of dogs from the shelter as well as a good turnout from the public.
They were grateful to all their sponsors who made it possible.
There are plans to host another event as such.
