Twenty commuters were taken to Waiyevo Hospital on Taveuni Island after the bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident yesterday.
This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro.
“A bus allegedly collided into a 10-wheeler truck which was carrying cement blocks to SunCity Supermarket in Matei,” Ms Naisoro said.

“The accident happened at Nabeka Stretch past Weilagi Village in Taveuni.
“Out of the 20 victims from the accident, 16 have been discharged from Waiyevo Hospital and four hospitalised.
“This is all we received during our initial investigation.”
