A Leap Year will always remain special for three mothers and their new-born children.
Theresa Leko from Yasawa, welcomed her fourth baby yesterday, Mosese
Waivula, at the Lautoka Hospital, while Mere Yamo from Seaqaqa, and Sereana Lemba from Savusavu gave birth to their third and sixth child respectively at the Labasa Hospital.

Mosese was born at 9.45am weighing in at 3.70 kilograms and measuring 57cm; Ms Yamo's baby boy (not named yet) weighed in at 3.7kg and was born at 5.06am while Ms Leba's baby girl weighed 4.4kg and was born at 9.24am.

Ms Yamo said she did not expect to give birth to her new-born yesterday and Ms Leba said she was looking forward to see her baby girl come out into the world.
"I could normally feel her in my womb and all I wanted was to see her.
We will be naming our daughter in coming days," she said.
Ms Leko, who was still recovering inher Hospital bed yesterday, said it was a proud moment for her and her husband, Saimoni Osborne.
"I was actually due yesterday (February 28). Just a few days ago my sister called and said I should give birth on February 29, because Moji (Mosese) will be a leap year baby," she said.
