The Pacific Specialist Healthcare facility will soon be conducting open heart surgery at its hospital in Nadi.

At PSH Hospital, situated along the Queen’s Highway, opposite the Nadi International Airport, open heart surgery will come after many painstaking hours of trials and procedures in mock operations.

PSH’s manging director Parvish Kumar said the mock open-heart surgeries were recently trialled many times so that the actual surgeries would turn out a 100 percent success rate.

“We have done this to make sure that we do not fail in the actual surgeries that we will be carrying out here,” Mr Kumar said.

Top open-heart specialist from India Dr Sanjeev K. Khulbey will be leading all the operations at the hospital.

However, according to Mr Kumar, they are still receiving queries from the public who want to have the open-heart surgery but still want some answers.

Dr Khulbey has outlined some of the frequently asked questions and has provided replies.

PSH’s have already received numerous queries from people in the Pacific region and Australia and New Zealand who want to have their open-heart surgeries done here in Nadi.

“A major factor is that it will be much cheaper coming to PSH in Nadi to have the surgery done as compared to travelling to India or within Australia and New Zealand itself, “Mr Kumar said.
