RFMF Senior Officers Present Fijian Hospitality

Brigadier-General Jone Kalouni­wai stated that the 2019 Inter­national Day Celebrations was hosted by the overseas students attending courses at the Austral­ian Staff College and the Austral­ian War College.

Senior Officers of the Repub­lic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) attending military courses in Australia and their families presented the Fijian hos­pitality during the International Day Celebrations on March 23.

Brigadier-General Jone Kalouni­wai stated that the 2019 Inter­national Day Celebrations was hosted by the overseas students attending courses at the Austral­ian Staff College and the Austral­ian War College.

“The International Day Celebra­tions was hosted by the overseas course members of both colleges showcasing traditional food and beverages, artifacts, attire and dances,” Brigadier-General Ka­louniwai said.

He added that the international day was an opportunity for the stu­dents and their families to work together with the Fijian High Com­mission to Fiji in Canberra and members of the Fijian Community to present an excellent display of typical Fijian hospitality and hu­mour.

Brigadier-General Kalouniwai who is attending courses at the Australian War College while Major Toni Nagauna and Major Iowame Lilo are attending cours­es at the Australian Staff College were part of the overseas students from 51 countries showcasing their respective nations at the occasion.

The occasion was attended by members of the Australian De­fence Force’s and their families.
