Members of Savusavu Rotary Club and Savusavu Town Council workers worked together to beautify Savusavu Town on March 18, 2019.

A collaboration between Savusavu Rotary Club, Savusavu Town Council and Ministry of Forestry led to a beautification project in Savusavu Town earlier this month.

They worked together replanting a number of trees in planter tubs around town.

Seremaia Cakacaka, a Rotarian said this was part of the  Savusavu Rotary Club’s town beautification project.

“With the help of the town council workers, we cleaned out the dead roots and old soil of the first four planter tubs,” Mr Cakacaka said.

“The bottoms of these tubs are now open to the soil below so trees with a tap root can grow down and not become pot bound.”
