ACS, William Cross in Under-19 cricket final

The 2024 Fiji Secondary Schools Under-19 Women’s Cricket League semifinals got underway at Suva’s Albert Park today.

The finals will see defending champions Adi Cakobau School taking on William Cross College. The 3rd and 4th play-off is between Lelean Memorial School and Tailevu North College.

Both finals will be played this afternoon.

Results (semifinals) 

 Semifinal 1: Lelean vs William Cross College  

Lelean scored 97/10 (20) with the following Lanieta 19 runs/23 balls, Alani 12 runs/14 balls, Kijiana Silivia 4 wickets/17 runs and Marica Mele 3 wickets/16 runs.

William Cross scored 98/8 (16); Selai 22 runs/20 balls, Loloma 16 runs/12 balls and Ruci Taufa 4 wickets/7 runs  

William Cross won by two wickets. 

Semifinal 2: ACS v Tailevu North College 

ACS- 138/6 (20); Asinate Tareguci 42 runs/42 balls, Akosita Levaci 33 runs/22 balls, Akosita Poulter 2 wickets/29 runs and Adi Vula - 2 wickets/10 runs  

Tailevu North 29/10 (6.5): Sereima Adikula 10 runs/17 balls  

Akosita Levaci 5 wickets/9 runs and Mele Waqanisau 4 wickets/2 runs  

ACS won by 109 runs.
