The big question for the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team today is: Can they take on the challenge to win the Hong Kong 7s for a record fifth year in a row?
Despite 8 players making their debut in Hong Kong and being grouped in the ‘pool of death’coach Gareth Baber believes that it can be done.
The Welshman said it’s the Fijian X-Factor that sets them apart from the other teams.
He hopes the Fijian X-factor will help them emerge from a difficult pool of facing New Zealand, Australia and Kenya.
“Attitude and work ethic carries you a huge amount,” Baber said.
“The technical skill plus having that ability to do things that the opposition can’t is the trademark of most of the Fijians and getting everything right is really important for us this weekend.”
