Brothers Josua Tuisova and Filipo Nakosi marked each other during last Saturday’s French Top 14 competition.
It was Tuisova’s Lyon that came on top in the end to beat Nakosi’s Castres 26-20. Castres also brought in veteran lock Leone Nakarawa, as an impact player.
Nakarawa, is out to impress Flying Fijians head coach Vern Cotter as he tries to win a spot in next year’s Rugby World Cup team.
Eneriko Buliruarua played well at second five eight for his club Bayonne as they scored an upset 25-20 win over Clermont who later brought in burly Fijian centre Apisai Naqaliva.
Lanky lock Lekima Tagitagivalu came from the bench to score a try for Pau in their 33-19 win over Bordeaux.
Veteran second five eight Jale Vatubua was in Pau’s starting line-up while Petero Mailulu played for Bordeaux.
In other matches Brive went down 17-19 to La Rochelle while Racing 92 thrashed Perpignan 44-20.
