Marist 7s: Red Rock Back In The Hunt

Red Rock Club will field two teams at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament next month.
Once a force on the local front, the Qauia-based side will hunt for lost glory on March 19-21 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.
Technical advisor Apisai Joji said new players will be developed for the annual event.
“We are looking to develop these young players to match the competition standards,” he said.
“We are working hard on our fitness because that is the main thing in 7s rugby. The players need to be physically and mentally ready because the Marist 7s is a huge tournament.
“The more game time these players have the better it is for the team.
“There is no difference from what the late Lote Rasiga used to do.
“Our aim for the Marist 7s tournament is to reach the Cup quarterfinal. We are preparing well and we’ve learned our mistakes from the Nawaka 7s.”
